Short version: Lies of HR does not set tracking cookies. There's no analytics tag, no advertising pixel, and no third-party social tracker on the site.
Because we only set strictly necessary cookies, we don't need to show you a cookie banner under the EU ePrivacy Directive or the GDPR. If that ever changes, we'll ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
What may be set
The site is a plain web application. The only cookies or similar storage that may appear in your browser are strictly technical ones used to make the site work:
- Hosting and security — our hosting provider may set short-lived cookies to balance traffic, keep the site available, and block abuse.
- Admin sign-in — if you are an administrator and log in to manage the site, your browser stores a session token so you stay logged in. This only applies to admins, not to normal visitors.
These are strictly necessary for the site to function and fall under the exemption in Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive — consent is not required for cookies that are essential to deliver a service the user has requested.
What we don't do
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No analytics or session-replay scripts.
- No third-party social media trackers embedded in pages.
- No selling or sharing of any browsing data.
Audio and embeds
Episode audio is served from our own hosting and doesn't load third-party trackers. If we ever embed external content (for example, a YouTube clip), that provider may set its own cookies — we'll flag this clearly when it happens.
Controlling cookies
You can clear or block cookies any time from your browser settings. Doing so won't break the public site for normal visitors.
